Matty was born and raised in Eastern Idaho. She graduated from the Interior Design program at Ricks College in 1997 and has been with NBW since 2004. She has been involved in all phases of projects at NBW Architects.
Her work experience includes educational design in Idaho and Wyoming, along with a variety of commercial and ecclesiastical projects such as banks, industrial truck sales, an award-winning minor-league baseball field and churches throughout southeast Idaho.
Afton Elementary in Afton, Wyoming, Willow Creek Elementary here in BJSD #93, Intermountain Packing Corporate office, and The Bank of Commerce in Burley, Idaho, are a couple of her favorite past projects. One of the most rewarding projects to work on was the St. Anthony Library remodel. It was extremely satisfying to see the existing building transform into a new beautiful, fresh and fully functioning space for the clients.
Matty loves working together with clients through the entire design process of color theory, finishes, space planning, bringing the outside in and then collaborating to achieve an aesthetically pleasing space to learn, work and enjoy which reflects the personality and values of each client.
